Michael has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, providing a broad capital markets understanding and well-rounded financing perspective. Michael most recently was managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets Group, based in Los Angeles. He divided his time between executing financing and advisory assignments on behalf of the firm’s clients and consulting with banks and financial institutions in evaluating loan portfolios, managing distressed assets, and disposing of notes.

Before joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Michael was a senior vice president at Goldman Sachs Commercial Mortgage Capital. He had overall responsibility for loan production in the Western United States and managed business relationships with major mortgage banking and brokerage firms throughout the region. Michael also was an acquisitions director at Westmark Realty Advisors (now CB Richard Ellis Investors) and, preceding that, a director of real estate investment at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Michael earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles and an economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Michael is a licensed California real estate broker and has been a member of Real Estate Lenders Association, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Bay Area Mortgage Association, and Southern California Mortgage Banker's Income Property Roundtable.
