About the Program

This is a 12-week program with opportunities available in our Boise, Idaho headquarters which are designed to provide a broad overview of many critical functional areas of commercial real estate lending. The program consists of three modules (Credit & Asset Management, Database Management, and Sales & Marketing). The fast-paced, team-focused work environment is designed to fully immerse you in the day-to-day activities of the functional areas of A10, to help discover which area you would like to focus on for your career. You will be surrounded by, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with, many top professionals in their respective areas. Successful interns may be invited back for full-time positions upon graduation. The anticipated start and end dates for this program are May 22, 2017 to August 11, 2017.

During the Credit and Asset Management module of the internship you will be trained and provide impactful, meaningful support in the following areas:
  • Basic real estate fundamentals
  • Local market research and analytics
  • Commercial real estate valuation
  • Loan structuring
  • Property-level due diligence
  • Portfolio management
During the Database Management module of the internship you will be trained and provide impactful, meaningful support in the following areas:
  • Basic database management fundamentals
  • Learn commercial real estate property reporting tools
  • Research potential customers for the sales and marketing teams using commercial real estate databases
  • Work with best-in-class technology platforms
  • Develop coding skills (SQL, Visual BASIC, Java)
  • Develop Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
During the Sales and Marketing module of the internship you will be trained and provide impactful, meaningful support in the following areas:
  • Basic marketing fundamentals
  • Develop sales skills
  • Prospecting potential customers within our target customer database, using phone and e-mail
  • Assist current sales team members with marketing campaigns
  • Follow up on customer surveys to gauge future growth opportunities
